Film Festival!!!

                                                                    Film Festival!
Hi bloggers, today I will be blogging about our schools amazing film festival films.
We started filming at the start of Term 3. We did this because every year near the end of term 3 schools that are in Ako Hiko make a film and it is based on a theme. This years theme was based on Hero's not like superheroes like Super Man or Spider Man like hero's that help you in real life.
In my film festival group was Maryam as the teacher, Me as the hero, Hepisipa as random student, Peitynn as liking student and Cassie as the camera girl.
In our syndicate our film was chosen as one of the three films. Our film was names The Life Saver.  Our film was based on how I saved my teacher( which was Maryam) by pouring water on her. The teachers that helped us make this possible was Miss Daly and Ms Sands.
The other 3 entries were Hi Viz Heroes and The Unsung Hero's. We watched all of the other schools films last week on Wednesday night at the Capitol Theatre. My favorite  film out of our school would have to be the Hi Viz because I liked how it looked kind of real and it also made people learn a lesson.
The thing that I enjoyed about making the film was that I knew once it was done for us it would look cool and when people watch it they would get what being a hero is about because some of them when they think about a hero they think about Super man and Bat man but they don't think about the Police or the nurses and doctors. Here are the 3 entries from our school.

Cross Country

Cross Country
Malo Lelei bloggers, today I will be blogging about our schools Cross Country. Last week on the 11th of September we had our schools Cross Country. On the day the activities that we had to do were kicking  goals, obstacle course, a run, skipping and watching and warming up.  The leaders had to help one of the junior years. I had to help with the year 2's. In each station we had 15 minutes to do them.  The reason why we did all of those activities was because we had to fundraise for this fun-run site. Our school has raised $14,000. If we fundraised we got to get a prize.  I came 5th in the run. In the run we had to do 2 laps of this big run I was so tired after it.

My favorite was how we got to kick goals. I liked it because I got to be a goal keeper but at the same I got to kick in goals. It was fun seeing them having fun because when they grow up they might not really be able to do these kind of things. I also liked the skipping but for a while I got tired and started to bond with others and see how much talent the year 2's had.  How much fun did you have at your schools Cross Country? Here are some photos from the day.

Our Cool Art Work

Art Work

Malo Lelei bloggers. Happy Maori Language Week. Today I am going to be blogging about our art work that we have been working on. Last term we started to plan an art work to put on our wooden fence down near our schools backtrack. For our art work we are working on cultural people. In my class we are doing our art on a Tongan boy and a American Latin girl. Before we started painting we had to vote for what design we were going use. We started to paint our art last week. Everyday last week we had to go in groups to room 7. We are nearly finished with our amazing art. I can't wait to see them lined up straight on the fence. Each class had 2 cultural people to paint. There's not that much to do with the painting anymore but we are still trying to make it look excellent! While one group had gone to paint, the rest of our class had to stay back and finish our work. AMAZING!! Here are some photos of us when we were painting.

My Amazing Camp

My Amazing CAMP!
Kon'nichwa bloggers today I will be blogging about my unforgettable CAMP! Before camp we had to get our things ready. On a Wednesday we had to show the things that we were going to take to camp. We also had to show them what we needed for the snow. For the snow we had to have thermals, a warm jacket , a beanie, sunglasses and track pants. Leading up to camp the feelings I had were out of the world. I felt really nervous to leave my family but at the same time I was really excite to feel snow. Once it was the day before camp I was more then excited I was overjoyed.

Now lets talk about what we actually did at CAMP! On the first day of camp we had free time in our rooms to sort our clothes out. While we were going to the crossing lodge we stopped at a lot of different places. On the 2nd day we went to the mountain. When I was on the mountain the weather was really good whenever I took of my sunglasses the snow looked so bright. There was so much snow falling on my back and my head. For some reason skiing was hard but easy too. I loved camp it was the best thing we had done all year. When we were at The Crossing Lodge there was a game room and a dinning room. I  spent  most of my time in the games room playing ping pong.

The SNOW...
The snow was amazing. I loved throwing snowballs at people. The snow was coming down so fast. On the third day I think it was hailing. When I went down the snow would hit my face and make it cold. I was so excited when I went in to the gondola. I loved skiing down to the chair lifts. While I was in the chair lift when I looked at my jacket it was full of snow. Whenever I wasn't skiing or eating I was playing with snow. We even had a snowball fight.

My favorite part about camp was that we got to ski and snowborad.  My favorite place that we went too was the Hamilton's Garden. I loved seeing the beautiful flowers. In some gardens there was water.  My favorite garden was the Indian Char Garden. What I loved about it was there was so many different colored flowers. What I would say to the year 4 and 3 that are going in 2 year. If you go to camp you would want to stay.  It would be the best thing you had down for the whole entire year. It's even better then rainbow end. On the last day when your coming back you get to go to the swimming pools. If you go to the same pool you get to bomb and there is two different sides so you will most likely get a lot of space. So if you are thinking about it don't because the answer is yes.
